With Kerry dominant throughout, the Newcastle West man battled to the bitter end in the 1-28 to 0-8 defeat.

Sheehan, who was arguably Limerickโ€™s player of the league, kicked scores off either foot while remaining diligent in defence.

For Sheehan and co, attention will quickly shift to the All-Ireland qualifiers in less than a fortnightโ€™s time.

A pair of Kerry men are included in the team in the form of RTร‰ man of the match Killian Spillane and Tom Oโ€™Sullivan with the pair combining for 1-6 on the day.

There are three each from provincial champions Galway, Dublin and Derry while Roscommon provide a pair. Donegal have one chosen.
