Kleyn and Casey named on URC Dream Team

Craig Casey scores against the Dragons in their URC game in Thomond Park.

ALTHOUGH Munster’s season came to a disappointing end on Friday last when they lost to Ulster in the quarter-final, there was some compensation for the men in red when two of them were selected on the URC Dream Team of the season.

Those players are Craig Casey and Jean Kleyn as South African sides dominate the team that was determined by a public vote.

They are two of just five Irish players chosen on the team alongside Leinster’s Ross Byrne and Ulster duo Nick Timoney and James Hume.

The DHL Stormers are the best-represented side with five players making the cut. URC Top Try Scorer Leolin Zas is among four backs from the Cape Town outfit included.

The Vodacom Bulls contribute three players, including Ironman Ruan Nortje, and the Cell C Sharks with two.
