Injury list increases following Munster’s season finale

With the Munster rugby season drawing to a close, there are a number of players on the injury list.

The final whistle that followed Munster’s clash with Ulster last Friday signified the end of the season and Johann van Graan’s tenure as Head Coach of the province.

On that evening, a number of players left the field due to injury with the province providing an update on the status of the squad.

Conor Murray was removed after failing a HIA and will follow the return-to-play protocols. Thomas Ahern was substituted with a hamstring injury and will undergo an MRI.

Diarmuid Barron was removed with an elbow injury and will also undergo an MRI to assess the extent of his injury.

Liam Coombes injured his toe during the Munster A/Development game v Ireland U20s in Dublin last Friday and will undergo a scan to assess extent of injury.

Jack O’Donoghue was unavailable last week with a back injury but this is expected to be a short-term injury.

Continuing to rehab: Dave Kilcoyne (neck), RG Snyman (knee) John Hodnett (knee), Jack Daly (knee).
