LIMERICK star Gearรณid Hegarty says that an outstanding squad of players got them through Munster and an incredible final but the focus has very much turned to the tasks that lie ahead next month.
John Kielyโs men will find out their semi-final opponents after this weekendโs quarter-finals and the St Patrickโs ace feels that Limerick are improving with each game they play.
โI think we are in a great position. We are in a position that I would have bitten your hand off for at the start of the year.

โWe are after winning Munster. We are going straight to the All-Ireland semi-final. I always believe the best route is the shortest route.
โWe definitely have loads to improve on. We havenโt had a performance yet that we have been extremely happy with.
โWe are going to Croke Park unbeaten this year but with loads to improve on and in my opinion itโs the perfect situation.โ
Hegarty, along with former Galway star Joe Canning wasย speakingย of Bord Gรกis Energyโs โState of Playโ campaign to promote inclusion in team sports. As part of the campaign, Bord Gรกis Energy, sponsor of the GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, has created 32 limited edition GAA County Pride t-shirts where county pride meets pride in supporting the LGBTQI+ community.
The t-shirts are on sale fromย hairybaby.comย for โฌ20 and all proceeds will go to Focus Ireland to support young members of the LGBTQI+ community who are experiencing homelessness.
