IARNRÓD Éireann has confirmed that it has proposed journey times to be reduced by 15 minutes on the Limerick to Ballybrophy line (via Nenagh) from December 11 this year.

The proposal is part of a draft new timetable published today for public consultation, and is the result of track renewal works which have taken place on the line.

The company also reminds customers that the final phase of track works on the route will commence from Monday September 26, until Sunday November 20.

During this time, bus transfers will be in operation on all services on the route.  Full details are available at www.irishrail.ie and at the Iarnród Éireann app.

The rail company, in conjunction with the National Transport Authority, is planning to implement timetable alterations from December 11.

The company has published details of the proposed schedule and has invited the public to submit feedback in advance of the finalisation of the new timetable.

Key elements of the proposed new timetables are improved journey times on Limerick/Ballybrophy services via Nenagh due to recent infrastructure works, resulting in a 15-minute time saving

The consultation survey is open until Sunday October 2.

Full draft timetables are available here for review and feedback at: https://www.irishrail.ie/en-ie/news/Proposed-timetable-changes-from-11th-December-2022

Iarnród Éireann and the National Transport Authority will review all suggestions received. Suggested alterations which cannot be implemented at this timetable change will be retained in a database for consideration at future timetable reviews.
