Limerick Council ensures safe passage at Barnagh

Independent councillor Jerome Scanlan

INDEPENDENT councillor Jerome Scanlan has questioned Limerick City and County Council on when they are likely to put appropriate measures in place to enable traffic safely enter and exit from L21018 onto the N21 at Barnagh.

A response from the council roads department said that it has investigated this junction and carried out all appropriate measures to make it safe.

As a further measure, the local authority told Cllr Scanlan that it will install a concealed entrance sign in advance of the junction and a cul-de-sac sign at the junction to further enhance safety.
