Castle gig for Kasabian

LEICESTER rockers Kasabian will return to Limerick for a headline show in King Johnโ€™s Castle on Wednesday June 14. Tickets on sale this Friday December 9 at 9.30am at www.dolans.ie / www.ticketmaster.ie

With tracks such as โ€˜Fireโ€™, โ€˜Underdogโ€™, โ€˜LSAFโ€™ and โ€˜Youโ€™re In Love With A Psychoโ€™, Kasabian have soundtracked the lives of a generation of music fans across the world. With their new album The Alchemistโ€™s Euphoria, the band are ready to start a new chapter and kickstart a whole new Kasabian era.

Speaking at todayโ€™s announcement Mick Dolan said: โ€œAnother big act announced for King Johns Castle, Kasabian are a phenomenal live band, performing twice in Dolans warehouse and The Big Top, itโ€™s great to finally get them backโ€

The band released their eponymous debut in 2004, Kasabian expanded that sound on later albums, but the bandโ€™s foundation remained rooted in fragmented dance textures and boisterous rock & roll. The approach was well-received; the group went to the top of the U.K. album chart for the first time with 2006โ€™s Empire, and their sixth album, For Crying Out Loud, became their fifth straight number one when it arrived in 2017.
Kasabian took the music press by storm in the early 2000โ€™s by mixing traces of the Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, and Primal Scream with Oasis-sized confidence and DJ Shadow-influenced electronics. Named after Linda Kasabian, Charles Mansonโ€™s getaway driver-turned-state witness.
