Man dies after fall from shed roof in County Limerick

A MAN in his fifties died after falling from the roof of a shed on a farm in County Limerick this (Tuesday) afternoon.
It is understood that the man died at the scene near the village of Bruree and his  body was removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem will be carried out by a local pathologist.
The Limerick Coroner’s office will be contacted to arrange for an inquest.
Gardaí do not suspect foul play and are treating the man’s death as a tragic accident.
According to local sources, the man was repairing the roof of the shed when he fell about 30 feet. Locals desperately attempted to save his life with a defibrillator but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Garda spokesman said  that the Health and Safety Authority had been notified of the man’s death
