A more positive view of Limerick Active Travel project

NOT all of Limerick’s Active Travel projects are negative, former Mayor and Fine Gael city councillor Sarah Kiely has declared.

Welcoming the latest works in Glasgow Park and Kennedy Park, she said that the new three metre wide paths are now complete in the green area where bollards and planters are in position, brightly painted, strategically placed, and with shrubs and trees.

“New lights have been installed at the end of Glasgow Park out on to the Childers Road and footpaths at the end of Glasgow Park have already been replaced. The remaining paths at Flanker Court and Glasgow Park are being done in the coming months.

“I’m delighted and grateful to get this massive project delivered. It shows that not all of Limerick’s  Active Travel projects are negative and this particular development will be enjoyed for years to come,” Cllr Kiely added.
