Man dies in County Limerick collision

A MAN died in a collision involving a truck and a car on the N21 outside Rathkeale yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:30pm and the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

The road is currently closed with local diversions in place as forensic collision investigators continue with their examination of the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. They are particularly interested in speaking with road users who were travelling on the N21 in the Rathkeale area between 3pm and 3:40pm

Anyone who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make it available to Gardaí.
