Drug seizure and arrests on outskirts of Limerick City

Gardaí have seized €100,000 of suspected cocaine and arrested three men at a property on the outskirts of Limerick City.
Gardaí attached to Ardnacrusha Garda Station, which is part of the Limerick Garda Division, raided the property, at Clonlara at around 11:45pm last (Thursday) night.
During the course of this search, approximately €100,000 worth of suspected cocaine and other drug paraphernalia was seized, all of the suspected drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.”
Three men, all aged in their 20s were arrested at the scene and are currently detained under the provisions of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act at Henry Street Garda station.
In a statement issued this morning a Garda spokesman said that the drug seizure and arrests were as a result of a planned drugs search conducted last night under Operation Tara.
“The focus of Operation Tara is to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels – international, national, local – involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production, local sale and supply of controlled drugs”.
The spokesman added that investigations are ongoing.
