Gardaí have charged a man in connection with a seizure of €100,000 worth of suspected cocaine on the outskirts of Limerick City on Thursday night.
The man, who was one of three people arrested in Clonlara, Co Clare, appeared before a special sitting of Ennis District Court last Saturday.
In a statement issued yesterday, a Garda spokesman said that following the arrest of three individuals and a seizure of €100,000 of suspected cocaine in County Clare on Thursday, March 9, Gardaí have charged a man in his 20s.
“He has appeared before a special sitting of Ennis District Court on Saturday, March 11.
“A man and a woman, both in their 20s, arrested as part of this investigation have been released from custody and a file will now be prepared for the DPP,” the spokesman added.
An earlier Garda press release had incorrectly stated that three men in their 20s were arrested after Gardaí attached to Ardnacrusha Garda Station raided the property at Clonlara last Thursday night.
