CIARA Sheehy was amongst the gold medal winners at the inaugural DSD Games, held at the spanking new Tibradden Lane Complex at the foothills of the picturesque Dublin Mountains.
The Emerald Athletic Club athlete proved the quality in the women’s shot put competition with an impressive throw of 13.24 metres.
Sheehy currently ranks 402 in the world women’s shot put rankings. A multi-talented athlete, she also ranks 662nd in the world in the women’s discus throw.
Also involved on the historic opening weekend of action were Limerick pair Paul Costello and Darragh Murphy.
