Councillor calls for inspection of county Limerick road following accidents

A LOCAL councillor has called for an inspection on a Herbertstown road following numerous traffic accidents.

Independent councillor Brigid Teefy has moved that an inspection be carried out on the R513 road around the area of Cleary’s Cross in Herbertstown following a number of recent accidents.

The Cappamore-Kilmallock Roads Engineer, Cllr Teefy was informed, will review the road geometry at the junction.

The engineer will then liaise with the Gardaí on the recent accidents to determine cause and effective safety measures to address the matter.
