Prices for UL student accommodation to rise

UL on-campus student accommodation

FEES for student accommodation at University of Limerick are set to increase this year, according to a recent report by The Irish Times.

The cheapest accommodation at the Castletroy-based university, which would see students share a campus residence with seven others in the Plassey student village, will set students back €5,206 for the full academic year, an increase of €202 on last year’s fees.

In the Quigley Residence complex, which is reserved for postgraduate students and can accommodate up to 100 people, fees have risen from €8,208 to €8,438 per person in a two-bed shared apartment for the 38-week academic year.

Utilities and services rates within the university’s accommodation ranges from €663 to €1,091 for the academic year, and are included in the rent price.
