Limerick people encouraged to donate summer clothes as season ends

INSTEAD of packing away the summer clothes and holiday poolside reads at the end of the good weather, Self Help Africa are calling on people to consider donating them instead.

“The Self Help Africa shop will welcome with open arms your bags of clothing, goods, or other bits and bobs that you might want to dispose of,” a representative for the charity said.

Shop manager Audrey Haugh added that “every €30 that is raised by the shop in Limerick is enough to set a rural poor family in Africa on the path to self-sufficiency”.

Self Help Africa is located on 23 High Street in Limerick City.
