Gardaí swoop on €120,000 cannabis haul in Garryowen

An estimated €120,000 worth of cannabis was seized by Gardaí in a raid on a home in Garryowen this morning.

GARDAÍ in Limerick seized an estimated €120,000 worth of cannabis from a home in Limerick City earlier this morning (Monday).

The cannabis stash was found during a raid by Gardaí on a home in Garryowen in the early hours of this morning. Gardaí estimate the 6kg haul to be worth an estimated €120,000.

According to a statement from An Garda Síochána, a number of other items were also seized during the raid.

No arrests have been made resulting from the raid and cannabis seizure.

The cannabis will now be sent for further examination by Forensic Science Ireland (formerly known as the Forensic Science Laboratory) for formal testing.

The search was conducted by force members working out of Henry Street Garda Station as part of Operation Tara.

No arrests have been made resulting from the raid and seizure.

“Investigations are ongoing,” a representative of An Garda Síochána said.
