THE Mid-Western Branch of the Irish Patchwork Society are hosting a joint collaborative cross-border exhibition up until August 20 in the Cathedral Gallery at Limerick School of Art and Design.

The initiative, known as Hands Across the Border, is a joint collaborative project by two cross border textiles groups – The Irish Patchwork Society and the Northern Ireland Patchwork Guild.

The two groups joined forces in 1991 to create a cross-border biennial exhibition of patchwork and quilting which is showcased both North and South.

For every exhibition, themes are set for the members to explore. The 2023 theme is ‘a walk in the park’.
