Start or grow your business this autumn with LEO Limerick

-

THE Local Enterprise Offices has announced its autumn programme of supports for new entrepreneurs and existing businesses – and more businesses than ever before are eligible.

Mike Cantwell, Head of Enterprise at LEO, points out that this year the organisation’s remit has increased to include businesses with up to 50 staff who are not existing Enterprise Ireland clients.

“We want to promote a ‘can-do’ business culture to create local jobs and grow exports in a competitive and sustainable way. The team at LEO Limerick and our website are equipped to signpost you to supports whether you are starting or growing a business,” Mr Cantwell said.

The autumn programme includes online and in-person training for new entrepreneurs in starting a business, business planning, digital marketing, and how to negotiate sales. There are also finance and management development programmes for business owners and a tailored export programme for companies with global ambitions.

The popular ‘Lunch and Learn’ format is back and includes a webinar on how to tender for public contracts. Retailers who are looking at their Christmas markets can also attend training on selling online or apply for up to two trading online vouchers.

“September is a good time to check if your business is eligible for any of the support’s we offer – new and growing manufacturing and export businesses can apply for funding and businesses can examine how to reduce costs or become more efficient through a Lean programme or Digital vouchers,” Mr Cantwell added.

The new Green Efficiency grant is available to companies that have carried out a green audit with the LEO and hospitality businesses are also eligible.
