Busy times ahead for Limerick GAA

THERE will be an attractive double-header at the Gaelic Grounds on Bon Secours Hospital County Senior Hurling Final Day, Saturday October 28, it has been confirmed.

The showpiece – to involve Na Piarsaigh or Doon and Kilmallock or Patrickswell – will throw-in at 5.15pm and will be shown live on TG4.

In a sure-to-be interesting affair, the curtain-raiser will be the Lyons of Limerick Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship Final between Blackrock or Effin and Bruff or Dromin/Athlacca, with throw-in here timed for 3.15pm.

These semi-finals are listed for Bruff and Kilmallockโ€™s Fitzgerald Park, respectively, next Saturday.

It has been announced that the Nick Greene Sports Ground Maintenance Intermediate Championship Final will be played on the same date, a contest that will involve Bruree, Murroe/Boher, Knockainey, Hospital/Herbertstown, Croagh/Kilfinny or Granagh/Ballingarry, with both semi-finals listed for next weekend.

Itโ€™s interesting times also in the Fitzgeraldโ€™s Woodlands House Hotel Junior Hurling Championship, with the semi-finals set to be teed-up after this weekend. The final is also due to take place at the end of the month.
