THE Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) is appealing to the people of Limerick to give generously at a number of blood donation clinics being held throughout the county across next week.

On Monday and Tuesday (October 16 and 17), the Greenhills Hotel in Caherdavin will host evening clinics from 4.20pm to 7.40pm.

On Wednesday, a clinic will take place at the Newport Community Centre from 4.50pm to 8.10pm. On Thursday, also from 4.50pm to 8.10, another clinic will take place at the Doon Community Centre.

The IBTS is appealing particularly for O negative donations, saying they currently have just 3.7 days’ supply of the type in stock.
