The company has been in Limerick since 1980, and is currently based in Harvey’s Quay.

Commenting on his new role, Mr Hegarty said: “I am delighted to take up the role of leading EY Limerick through our next growth phase in a thriving city and region.”

“With continuing investment, a dynamic indigenous entrepreneurial sector, and a highly skilled local workforce in the Mid West, Limerick’s growing reputation of being a first-class location to live, work, and do business continues to be front and centre in its success story,” he said.

Mr Hegarty continued: “Limerick and the wider region are well known as a hub for life sciences, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and technology, to name but a few sectors. It has established itself as a significant R&D hub and is home to a strong public sector.”

“Together with a deep talent pool, world-class universities and enviable aviation and other infrastructure, this combines to create a vibrant business ecosystem that is only getting stronger each year,” he concluded.
