NEW MUSIC: Linda

LIMERICK singer/songwriter Linda released her debut single just last April. The song ‘Letting you go’ amassed over 7,700 streams on Spotify and secured a live support slot with The Neon Cars. Her new song is the power pop anthem ‘Drivin’ In Your Car’.

The indie/pop newcomer counts The 1975, The Japanese House and Holly Humberstone among her influences.

Linda Walsh started writing her own music while studying Voice and Dance at The University of Limerick and uses her music to delve into themes of love, relationships and navigating her 20’s.

Linda talked about the new single ‘Drivin’ In Your Car’. “It is a guitar driven, synth soaked anthem that incorporates elements of Indie Rock, and Power Pop. The song’s upbeat feel is contrasted by its lyrics, which I wrote earlier this year while navigating a break up. The song covers themes of love and loss while reminiscing on the good parts of a relationship, and wanting to be back in that place. The song was recorded and produced in Studio68 in Limerick City by Patrick O’Donnell and mastered by Nick Niker.’’
