FINE Gael councillor Sarah Kiely has welcomed a commitment from the Council that works will start early this month on footpaths in parts of Kennedy Park.
“Previously a commitment was given to address the condition in specific areas. Unfortunately, it has taken longer than anticipated, however, it is very welcome news for residents,” said Cllr Kiely.
“Many people in the area have mobility issues and as such need to be considered when any works are being undertaken.”
“These paths are a danger currently and now with this commitment to the area they will be addressed. I’ve worked on this issue for the last few years and I’m very pleased with getting this over the line,” the City East representative added.
