Quilts to go on display in Limerick to remember victims of The Troubles

A DISPLAY of quilts memorialising The Troubles will go on display at St Mary’s Cathedral this weekend.

Seven quilts that depict the “futility of violence” will be on display to support victims and survivors of The Troubles.

The exhibition is organised by South East Fermanagh Foundation (SEFF), and their director, Kenny Donaldson, said: “Across the seven memorial quilts which will be displayed, almost 500 innocents are remembered, ordinary yet extraordinary men, women, and children from across the community.”

The quilts will go on display on in St Mary’s Cathedral after 1pm Mass on November 19 and will remain on show until November 28 at 5pm.
