Third-placed finish at World Final for golf pair

EAST Clare Golf Clubs’s Mike O’Halloran and Michael O’Brien (Spanish Point) – the Irish National Champions –  have finished a superb third at the Audi Quattro Cup World Final.

Team Australia emerged winners with Italy in the runners-up spot.

The 33rd Audi Quattro Cup saw over 30 teams from nearly as many countries taking part in the World Final, having qualified from their respective national tournaments.

The competition was hosted at the Al Mouj Golf Course, Muscat, Oman.

The links-style course, designed by International golfing legend Greg Norman offered a challenging yet rewarding game with spectacular wildlife and views of the Indian Ocean and Hajar Mountains.

Damien O’Sullivan, Director, Audi Ireland commented: “We are thrilled for our Team Ireland representatives Mike and Michael.
