Christmas in Newcastle West to officially kick off this week

CHRISTMAS celebrations will officially kick off in west Limerick on December 1.

The Newcastle West Christmas tree at Desmond Castle will be officially lit up on the Friday evening, which will get the Christmas spirit going in Newcastle West.

Minister of State and Newcastle West native Patrick O’Donovan said: “Christmas is such a wonderful time of year for everyone, that all begins with the lighting up of the Christmas tree.”

“I invite you all to come along and witness this very special occasion and to start this festive season in Newcastle West mingling with your family, neighbours, and friends.”
