A WOMAN in her 60s was taken to University Hospital Limerick (UHL) on Wednesday (December 6) after she was hit by a large SUV car on O’Connell Street in Limerick City.
A spokesperson for An Garda SÃochána confirmed to the Limerick Post that Gardaà and emergency services attended the scene of the incident in the city centre on Wednesday evening, which happened shortly before 5pm.
According to GardaÃ, the woman was taken to UHL for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries were reported.

“Investigations are ongoing,” the Garda spokesperson said.
