Woman hospitalised after being hit by car in Limerick City

A WOMAN in her 60s was taken to University Hospital Limerick (UHL) on Wednesday (December 6) after she was hit by a large SUV car on O’Connell Street in Limerick City.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed to the Limerick Post that Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident in the city centre on Wednesday evening, which happened shortly before 5pm.

According to Gardaí, the woman was taken to UHL for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

“Investigations are ongoing,” the Garda spokesperson said.
