CHILDREN’S Books Ireland (CBI) is calling on the public to help put a book in the hand of every child in direct provision, including those in Limerick, in its Christmas ‘Gift a Book’ Appeal.

CBI has committed a starting fund of โ‚ฌ10,000, the prize money from their recent National Lottery Good Causes Award.

In partnership with Irish charities such as Dublin Simon, Novas, and Doras, these books are being delivered to children across Ireland who are experiencing homelessness and living in direct provision.

The charity is asking people in Limerick to help match this figure, making this gift go even further in 2024 by donating at ChildrensBooksIreland.ie/giftabook
