WITH shopping very much to the fore for the Christmas season, the Limerick Museum is hosting an exhibition that revisits shopping trips that had nothing to do with the click of a mouse.

From toys at Boyd’s to trinkets from Todd’s, ‘Let’s go Shopping! A history of retail in Limerick‘ is a nostalgic and colourful trip through the retail history of Limerick City.

Curated by Dr Zara Power, assistant curator of Limerick Museum, the exhibition is a treasure trove of times gone by.

Admission is free and the museum is open to the public weekdays from 10am to 5pm and weekends from 10am to 5pm.
