STILL struggling with outfit ideas for New Year’s Eve this weekend? Whether you’re doing a casual night in with drinks, a fancy dinner with someone special, or a night on the town with the girls, there are loads of on-trend styling options to help you ring in the New Year in style.

Sequined jeans

These beauties have been swirling around the market gradually gaining popularity over the past year or two. They’ve made a massive resurgence this year for the festive period and look like a trend that’s here to stay. These are a great option if you still haven’t nailed down your plans for the weekend. Dress them up with a dressy top and heels or dress them down for a cosy knit and chunky boots. Another stunning twist on this trend is pearl bedazzled jeans.

Sparkle detail

If you want to nod to the sparkle of the season without going overboard, this is a great way to go. There are loads of dresses and tops on the market with subtle sparkle detail.

Some of my favourite looks are sparkling sequined cuffs on an otherwise plain dress or top. You may even have something like this already in your wardrobe that you can pull out to ring in 2024.

Accessorise it

Adding some glam and sparkle to your outfit with accessories is a great way to go. Everyone has a black dress somewhere in the wardrobe so why not upcycle an old look with a sparkly heel and bag combo.

Jewellery is another great way to do this. Statement jewellery, such as big earrings and rings, are making a come back so they’re a great option to add a festive twist to your outfit without breaking the bank on a whole new look.

Shift dresses

While bodycon was the hot trend for the past few years, shift dresses are back with a bang. I love a loose style shift dress for this time of year. The looser fit makes these so easy to pair with a pair of tights if you’re planning a more casual night and keep you warm on these bitter winter nights.

Planning a more extravagant night on the town? Not to worry these are also perfect paired with a heel to dress it up. There’s so many sequined and mirrored dresses in this style available on the high street, you’re sure to bring the sparkle to the evening.
