LIMERICK people are the second-highest spenders when it comes to online fitness and wellbeing, with individuals spending an average of โฌ175.60 per year compared to the โฌ143 national average.
Topping the list are Dubliners, who spend โฌ183.40 per year, with Louth third at โฌ154.40.
That’s according to the ‘Connected Lives’ survey conducted by broadband providers Pure Telecom.
The survey shows that adults in Ireland are spending โฌ562m on online fitness and wellbeing annually.
The research found that adults are turning to mobile apps to support their physical and mental health, while online gaming platforms are also playing a role.
The nationally representative survey of 1,004 adults in Ireland was conducted by Censuswide.
Men reported spending โฌ213 in the last 12 months, compared to โฌ122 spent by women on average.
