TWO products of the Treaty United Academy have signed part-time professional contracts with the senior club.

In a landmark move for the club, Darren Nwankwo (18) and Robbie Lynch (17), respectively formerly of Aisling Annacotty and Broaford United, have joined Tommy Barrett’s squad.

CEO Ciara McCormack told TreatyUnitedFC.com: “We’re really excited to have Darren and Robbie become the first academy players that we’ve ever signed to part-time pro contracts. We said coming in that we will be focusing on and building the youth players in the club, and this is an important first step to follow through with that commitment.”

“Both players have shown immense potential and ability, and we are looking forward to seeing where the next few years take them,” she said.

Tommy Barrett added: “Robbie and Darren are two young local players that got plenty of experience last year and did very well, and we’re hoping they can continue to develop this year.
