FIANNA Fáil councillor Catherine Slattery has asked Limerick City and County Council’s Active Travel team to liaise with the Roads Department regarding the installation of a yellow box from Childers Road into Janesboro on the Colbert Avenue side.
Drivers, the councillor claimed, are finding it very difficult to exit since cycle lanes have been installed.
She was informed by Dan Slavin of Active Travel that the works on Childers Road are ongoing and will be completed in the coming months.
“It is the intention to reinstate and upgrade all road markings as part of the works over the coming weeks,” he explained.
