Munster GAA confirm outright cancellation of 2024 Munster Senior Hurling League competition

Limerick hurling manager John Kiely.

MUNSTER GAA have confirmed the abandonment of this year’s Munster Senior Hurling League after a streak of cancellations for the ill-fated Limerick-Cork clash.

Limerick’s outing with Cork was postponed on three occasions and with the league final.

Now, with Munster GAA claiming no suitable date forthcoming from either side, the league as a whole this year will not be completed.

Disappointed Waterford were awaiting the winners’ of the Limerick-Cork bout in the now cancelled final.

Limerick play Tipperary in the Dillon Quirke Foundation fundraiser in Thurles on Sunday (2pm). A week later, John Kiely’s side host Antrim.
