A LOCAL football group who meet each week in the spirit of building community and social connections have issued a public invitation for anyone looking to get out and have a kick around in the new year.

Limerick Astro Football meet twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) to shake off the cobwebs and use football as a vehicle to promote physical and mental wellbeing.

The group has issued an open invitation to adults of all fitness levels and abilities to join in.
