Limerick Garden Plants Group celebrates 25th birthday

Limerick Garden Plants Group are celebrating 25 years.

LIMERICK Garden Plants Group marked 25 years of bountiful collaboration at the club’s recent meeting.

The meeting saw a talk from Val Dennison – one of the club’s founders in 1998, a time where there was “no outlet for plant lovers in the Limerick area”, the club said.

The club currently has over 80 members from around Limerick, Clare, and the surrounding areas, and holds monthly talks and meetings, as well as plant sales and swaps, at Gaelscoil Ráithín on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Colm O’Driscoll, head gardener at Lismore Castle, will be the key speaker at the club’s January 25 meeting.
