TRADITIONALLY New Years Eve celebrations typically involve raising a glass but a popular pub on High Street use the night to raise money for charity.  In a heartwarming display of generosity the staff and customers of Mother Macs Public House gathered on New Years Eve raising €1,100 for Milford Care Centre.

Owner James McMahon Explains “We have held a charity event on New Years Eve since opening in 2015.  The events have been strongly supported by staff and customers and I would like to thank them for their generosity”.

2024’s chosen charity was Milford Care Centre, a non-profit charity providing palliative care and services to older persons. Mary Heaney who attended on the night commented “Each of us through our families and friends have experienced the fantastic services of Milford Care Centre and New Years Eve is an ideal time to show our support”.
