Exciting college soccer fixtures on the horizon

THERE are a couple of lovely matches to look forward on the colleges front over the next while, commencing with the clash in the Lydon Cup Final of University of Limerick and ATU Sligo in Maynooth University on Wednesday (3.15pm).

Lead players with Limerick include senior international Elle Molloy, captain Dearbhaile Beirne (Peamount United), Shauna Pearson (Treaty United), and former Fairview Rangers and Republic of Ireland Under-19 international Shauna Pearson.

The selection committee here is Craig Madigan, Annie Ulliac, and Robert Collins.

Limerick College of FET meanwhile will contest the Challenge Cup final in Athlone Stadium on Tuesday next (March 5), kick-off 12.45pm.

Richkov Boevi (Treaty United) captains the side, one which features plenty of his clubmates like Ryan Perez, Darren Nwankwo, and Ross Bermingham, while the squad also boasts of Billy Culhane (Herbertstown), Adam Keating and Shane Heffernan (Fairview Rangers), and Kaden Deegan-Herlihy of Pike Rovers.
