AN ELDERLY man was left exposed to the sun’s rays after two thieves broke into his car and stole his sunglasses.
According to Sergeant Ber Leetch, of Henry Street Garda Station, the man left his car momentarily unattended to bring his shopping from the vehicle to his house on Sunday February 18.
While the man, described as being in his 70s, was in his home, two youths “jumped his wall, opened his car door, and searched the car”, Sergeant Leetch said, at which point they made off with his sunglasses.
The youths were recorded on CCTV but the glasses remain unrecovered.
