A LIMERICK man had lost that loving feeling this post-Valentine’s weekend when an opportunistic thief managed to steal a package delivery before the homeowner had a chance to reach the door.

According to Sergeant Ber Leetch, of Henry Street Garda Station, the package was taken from outside the Castletroy home of a man in his mid-40s.

“He had received a notification that it had been delivered but there was no sign of it.”

“When he looked at his CCTV footage, he could see a male run from a car to his front door and pick up the parcel,” Sergeant Leetch said.
