Attempted robbery at jewellers in Limerick City

GARDAÍ are appealing for information about an attempted break-in at Neville’s Jewellers in the Crescent Shopping Centre on Wednesday February 28, shortly before 2:20am.

In an online post, the jewellery store said that it would be closed for a period but reopened later on Wednesday.

Gardaí confirmed a number of scenes were preserved for technical examination and investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí appealed to anyone who was in the Ballinacurra Road, Rosbrien Road, or Dooradoyle Road areas in the early hours of Wednesday morning and may have footage (including dashcam) to make it available to Gardaí.
