Three Limerick schools to compete for Mid West STEM Star competition

THREE Limerick schools will go head-to-head with pupils from four other counties across the Mid West in the BD STEM Stars competition next week.

Desmond College, Coláiste Nano Nagle, and Coláiste Chiaráin will compete for a €10,000 prize the BD STEM Stars final, which tasks students with developing projects focusing on positively impacting the world of healthcare.

The final will take place on March 21 at BD’s Research Centre Ireland in Castletroy’s National Technology Park.

Now in its fifth year, the competition will see previous winners Desmond College try to retain their crown after winning last year.
