Fianna Fáil councillor calls for speed ramps in Ashford and Raheenagh

A LOCAL councillor has called on Limerick City and County Council to install speed ramps in two county Limerick villages in the interest of safety.

Fianna Fáil councillor Michael Collins has called on Limerick City and County Council to look at installing speed ramps in the villages of Ashford and Raheenagh in the interest of safety to pedestrians and school children in the area.

Cllr Collins was informed at a recent Newcastle West area meeting of the local authority that the provision of ramps or any other form of traffic calming will form part of the traffic calming policy which was to be put before the full meeting of the council on March 25.
