MEMBERS of the Clonlara Angling Club made a generous donation to Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention after holding a fundraising competition dedicated to the memory of one of its former members.
Members of the local angling club presented a cheque for €5,200 to the suicide prevention patrollers for the valuable service they provide in the city.
The Monster Pike Fishing Competition was held in memory of Gerard ‘Mashy’ O’Brien, who died in early 2023, and saw Clonlara Angling Club member Josh Collopy, who won the competition, take home the New Annual Cup.
