
SOLICITOR and community advocate Grรกinne Hanley has declared her candidacy in the local elections for the Cappamore-Kilmallock Municipal District.
With a background in law and a commitment to serving her community, Ms Hanley brings a wealth of experience and a passion for addressing the pressing issues facing her region, she told the Limerick Post.
A graduate of University College Cork with an honours degree in law, Grรกinne is a qualified solicitor with experience in general practice.
Currently self-employed, she specialises in compliance and risk management with credit unions, which she says demonstrates her dedication to ensuring financial stability and accountability within the community.

“I am honoured to announce my candidacy for the Kilmallock local elections area with Independent Ireland,” she said.
“Having lived in the area all of my life, I am deeply invested in the wellbeing of our community. I am committed to representing the interests of our constituency and fighting for a fair allocation of resources to support our local businesses, families, and farmers.”
Ms Hanley says her platform addresses a wide range of issues affecting the Kilmallock area, including housing, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and community development. With a focus on practical solutions and effective governance, she aims to improve the quality of life for residents and be a strong voice for the people of her community.
