Valuables stolen from parked car in Castletroy

A THIEF broke into a red Ford Fiesta parked in the driveway of a house at Harvard Close, College Court, Castletroy, between 7pm on Thursday, April 11 and 9am the following morning.

The thief forced the driver’s door and stole a small quantity of cash and a silver KE watch from the car.

Gardaí at Henry St Garda Station are investigating.

Gardaí in Henry Street’s Crime Prevention Programme are advising motorists to never leave valuables on view in a car.

“Always lock important items in the boot before arriving at a parking spot as thieves can then see there are valuable items being carried,” a representative said.
