TIME is running out for farmers in Limerick to apply to the Basic Income Support Scheme (BISS).

That’s according to Ifac, who sent the reminder to Limerick famers that the deadline for applications to this year’s scheme is May 15.

“This is one of the most important dates for farmers in the farming year. This is the deadline for declaring the land you are farming in the year 2024 and, therefore, enabling receipt of your BISS monies in October/December,” said Eugene Higgins, Ifac partner in Limerick.
