LIMERICK City and County Council has announced a vibrant celebration of this year’s National Biodiversity Week.

The event, which takes place from May 17 to 26, has the theme of ’embrace nature’s symphony’.

A number of local events will take place across Limerick to celebrate the week, including Bats and Moths: Creatures of the Night, taking place on the Baggot Estate, the Castletroy Greenway Dawn Chorus, a family guided biodiversity walk, and Griston Bog Discovery to learn about the ecosystem of the bog.

The events aim to highlight the importance of biodiversity.
