UISCE Éireann has announced that it is continuing its investment in water infrastructure across Limerick.

The latest big ticket project has been the newly-completed Mungret Local Infrastructure Housing Activation Fund (LIHAF) Road.

The utility said it has spent a total of €3million on 3.6kilometres of mains water pipes and sewer systems.

The LIHAF project will enable up to 1,900 homes to be built along the new road, with the new water infrastructure in place to support this.

Uisce Éireann’s Lisa Cogan said that “this crucial investment reflects Uisce Éireann’s ongoing commitment to funding water services infrastructure to support housing delivery on LIHAF approved sites”.
